SmartLink™ Plus** extends home network coverage
SmartLink™ Plus** enables transmission of powerline signals across all three electrical wires – line, neutral and ground. It extends home connectivity range by up to 50% and offers a great improvement on overcoming most environmental interference, filtered AC outlet strips and other noisy equipment to ensure continuous HD video streaming throughout the house.

QoS enhances media streaming quality
The advanced Quality of Service (QoS) feature improves the quality of multimedia streaming applications such as triple-play services by traffic prioritizing HD video streaming, high-speed Internet access and VoIP services.

Plug-and-play and easy security setup
The ZyXEL PLA5205 gives you the installation flexibility to turn power lines into a home network without blocking power outlets nearby. Data transmission is protected by the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Security (AES) mechanism to provide a secure connection to the Internet. Encryption can be configured with a simple button press – no complicated setup or additional software required.

Remote management through TR-069
By adopting the TR-069 standard, the ZyXEL PLA5205 enables service providers to remotely manage and configure the devices without any user intervention. Moreover, it offers a “plug-and-play” experience to reduce the deployment complexity, operating costs and maintenance expenses for service providers. 

Green product saves energy consumption
When there is no Ethernet connection or active network usage in 60 seconds, the ZyXEL PLA5205 will enter the power-saving mode that consumes only 0.5 watt to save energy by over 80% when compared to adapters without this function. 

The theoretical maximum channel data transfer rate is derived from HomePlug AV2 specifications. Actual data transfer rate may vary between network environments with different distance, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions.

The SmartLink™ Plus feature is limited by the ground pin environments with different connectivity, distance, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions. Since the CE ground pin usage definition has yet to be clarified, SmartLink™ Plus is not currently support
